Use your breathing throughout your day, both to re-mind yourself of your spiritual nature, as well as to boost your health and energy. It works! Choice--Either you listen to the voice for Love or the voice for Fear, that of ego. One knows that all are innocent; the other blames and sees the guilty. Teach your brain to tune into the Love channel; access your essence. Choose to awaken, to understand and to change. Your world will thank you. Determination--Nothing happens without your dedicated effort. Even something as simple as breathing requires your participation. To achieve more in life, there must be more invested. Usually all that is required is the gift of time. Determine today that, just for today, you will be the determining factor in your life. Repeat this exercise tomorrow. Energy--All is energy vibrating at different rates. Each lives, moves andhas its being in this Energy. It is called Soul, Creator/Source, God, Universe, All That Is. IT is bigger than can be imagined. Focus--What you focus upon grows. Focus upon the joy in your life, express gratitude daily and move forward to meet your dreams. Your deepest dream is of unity, enlightenment, experiencing oneness, realization, actualization, transcendent consciousness. And not of material things. This is why when you get them, achieve, and succeed, you still hunger for more. The most magnificent dream is to achieve full enlightenment. It is a process that continues after awakening. Freedom—In your soul you are free. The challenge is to bring that freedom fully into your life through management of your energy. Your beliefs create your emotions and determine your health. How free would you like to be? What beliefs would be required? Adopt them. Grace--There is a never-ending flow of grace awaiting your awareness so that: Life is more joyous, and the bumps on the path become less disruptive as you learn/remember/awaken into higher mind, beyond that of egoic consciousness. Use your Full Wave Breathing to take you there faster and easier than ever before. Heaven or Hell—You get to choose which state you will engage. If, as the master teachers say, “Heaven is within,” why aren’t you going there more often to visit? What would happen if you devoted (consecrated) 100 breaths each day to you? Would that take you inside; at least open the door? Who among you dares not find out? Integrity—Being whole and complete is the essential nature of each soul. It is the potential within each individual seeking expression. What if you were to dedicate your next 100 Full Wave Breaths to feeling your wholeness, your integrity? How would that improve your attitude and, leading to the next step, your action in the world?
Exercise for the Soul
1. Expel the air remaining in your lungs by exhaling and drawing your abdomen toward your spine with muscular action. 2. As you inhale, imagine this your inner light glowing and pulsing in rhythm with your breath. 3. As you exhale, allow all of the muscles to become soft. 4. Rest at the bottom of your exhale. Rather than immediately begin your inhale, simply wait until your body needs to breathe. 5. Imagine that you are smiling as you inhale. 6. Now, smile as you inhale. 7. Imagine that you are smiling as you exhale. 8. Now, smile as you exhale. Continue for Twenty-five breaths or longer. Focusing on increasing the size of your energy field, the light within, with each inhale. Expand your ribs to the sides and stretch your rib cage up into your neck. Commentary Imagine living in a culture where half the people totally ignore that fossil remains of human ancestors thus far discovered date back 9 million years. Instead they somehow believe that humans were divinely inserted within the last 10,000 years. They state their belief as based upon what they call “faith.” Faith is usually meant to explain that they heard about it being in a book written by some man or men, who—according to some committee of other men (no women)—had recorded an agreeable version of what some fellow was to have said about what was thought to have happened according to some other guy who also wasn’t there, but who collected stories about what someone else said based on what another who knew someone who was there said happened, and then wrote the story down in a symbolic language that has been translated into still different languages, distorting the original and energetic meaning at least 3-5 times. Now imagine living in a society where most people don’t like your choice of television shows that you watch—or agree as to what automobile is the best choice. If you worry about such things, you will drive yourself crazy. The answer to it all is simple enough: Take a deep breath and let it out and yell, “So What!” Now don’t you feel better? Lifestyle Management Imagine that you began your day by listening to The Cosmic Waltz and breathing as you awaken and stretch. Next consider all for which you are grateful and visualize your day going well. Feed your body as if it depended upon it—it does. Adopt this simple regimen for a week and see if it doesn’t naturally improve the quality of your life. Easy Does It While reading an article in one of those free “healthy living” magazines that you find at the health food store, promoting vitamins and minerals as the allopathic solution to all ills, I came across an article on a one-bean salad. The carrot and navy bean concoction had 12 ingredients with the emphasis on taste delights. I wonder what would happen if the same healthy living editors were to suggest to readers that they feed their bodies instead of titillate their taste buds? What would happen if, instead of eating, people fed their bodies? What would it take, however, for people to get over themselves and do the things that were in harmony with their nature?Yes, I know, it is unlikely to occur and if it did, increased longevity could negatively impact the Social Security fund. As it is now, the established medical practice is to keep people breathing—tho barely enough to support function—for as long as possible. Don’t worry though, the government will pay for it. What do you think would happen if the mandatory age for SS were raised and a bonus were paid for people to keep working? In NYC they are paying parents for taking care of their children within the educational system. Maybe the government could start paying people to take care of themselves instead of continuing to support a system of negative rewards. Taking Time for Thanksgiving Each Month. What if instead of thinking of yourself as debtors, you were to think of all of those who loan you money as your creditors? What if you thought of the creditors as those you support you in achieving your dreams. They have expressed a belief in you and faith in your well intentioned life of purpose in service. Performing this slight of mind while breathing might not miraculously make the bills disappear. It will, however, make you feel better when you pay them. The effect of your gratitude to the utility companies that make your life comfortable and other creditors that make it possible for your to get around can relax cells and trigger their renewal. To begin, take 5 Full Wave Breaths and re-read this section. Continue to breathe, easily and with increasing depth and breadth. In the first the holdup man left with several thousand dollars in cash. The problem was that he wrote his holdup note on the back of his own check. In the second story, the robber was able to enter the bank posing as a job applicant. He too was able to leave without incident carrying several thousand in cash. He, however, left his resume in the bank. Jon Benson (www.fitover40.com) reporting in Early To Rise mentions a “study focusing on mind over body involved the effect of so-called "super-oxygenated water" on exercise performance. Eighty-four percent of the subjects given this super-water (which was actually tap water) ran considerably faster. Heart rate and perceived exertion increased as well. Merely believing that the water they were drinking was super-oxygenated altered the physiological states of the participants.” Q & A Q: I find the Full Wave Breathing addictive. EXERCISE CORNER: Full Wave Breathing is a natural, drug-free, and dramatically effective way to experience health, joy and aliveness that mobilizes and supports your progression toward balance and wholeness. It is a method which accelerates and complements modern healthcare and treatment practices. Use it to inspire yourself so you can inspire others! The Single Most Important Exercise is Full Wave Breathing There are 3 Steps, simple as A B C: Abdomen, Belly, and Chest. First, breathe into the lower abdomen and keep your focus there until you can comfortably fill and relax that area of the body. Use your muscles to expand your lower abdomen, beginning at the top or your pubic bone. Second, after filling the abdomen (A) shift your focus to your entire belly (B) or midsection, stretching and distending your diaphragm and ribs as you inhale. Relax everything as you exhale. Use your muscles to push out the lower abdomen, then expand the area just above. Third, filling A & B, shift your focus to your chest (C) and above. Having expanded the lower portions of the body, stretch up into the chest and back. Make all of your physical movements gentle and slow. All the movement to become very subtle and gentle as you alternately inhale and exhale without pause. You may find it more comfortable to begin with distinct movements of your body. Allow the process to become like a dance of movement from bottom to top, top to bottom. Later, allow your body to remain completely relaxed as you visualize the movement of energy through you. Repeat often for the most dramatic results. For more detailed instruction, read below: Step One of Full Wave Breathing Place one hand on the abdomen below the navel and the other on the chest. As you inhale, hold the chest still; allowing the abdomen to expand as if you is filling a balloon. Stretch and extend the lower belly. Relax completely into an inhale at the point where the abdomen is distended fully and the lungs are filled. After exhaling, inhale immediately. The chest does not move at all. Continue breathing with no pause between inhales and exhale. All of the emphasis is upon your inhale. The exhale is a release of the tension created during your inhale. So you will Inhale and relax...inhale...and relax. Continue as you read this instruction to see how simple it is to perform. Breathe through your nose or mouth as you desire. You increase oxygenation by over 50% when you breathe through your mouth because of the normal restriction in nostril breathing.Close your eyes as you are breathing and then relax for a few minutes when you are done. Allow your breathing to normalize before continuing with your activities. You may perform this exercise while sitting at the computer, riding in the car, or even watching television. Start practicing this exercise today and you'll be pleased with your result! To help you stay focused on your breathing, place a book or weighted bag on your lower abdomen when lying down and performing the exercise. If you are sitting, to keep your spine erect, imagine that a rope is attached to the middle of your head. The rope rises into the air. In your imagination, allow the rope to gently lift you up until your spine is erect. Sit straight, be open, and breathe. Step Two of Full Wave Breathing Continue breathing with no pause between inhales and exhale. Inhale and Relax...Inhale...and Relax. Count 1 as you inhale and expand your lower abdomen in Step One. Count 2 as you lengthen your inhale and push out the middle of your torso at the solar plexus. Release tension and allow the body to exhale and repeat. Perform this exercise anytime to relax. Do not perform connected breathing when driving or operating machinery. When lying down, place a pillow under your knees, not under your neck. When sitting, allow yourself to stretch and open your spine as you sit and breathe. Close your eyes as you breathe and then relax for a few minutes when you are done. Allow your breathing to normalize and return to your tasks. Step Three of Full Wave Breathing Continue breathing with no pause between inhales and exhale. Inhale and relax...Inhale...and relax. Count 1 as you inhale and push out your lower abdomen. Count 2 as you raise the breath and energetic focus to your solar plexus. Count 3 as you move your breath and muscular focus up into your chest, stretching your intercostal muscles, shoulders and back of the neck. Relax completely when you exhale, allowing the muscles to soften. There is no effort or tension involved in your exhale. Close your eyes as you breathe and then relax for a few minutes when you are done. Allow your breathing to normalize before continuing with your activities. Perform this exercise anytime you are sitting passively to provide a quick and effective energy boost and relaxation. Keep your spine straight if sitting and allow to your body to move as you breathe and relax. Feel the wave of inhale as air enters your body and the wave of exhale as it leaves. Increase the volume of air and pace of breathing and feel how it affects your experience. Since resolving stress at the cellular level is below our awareness, there are times when the breathing is accompanied by laughing or crying as old chemistry breaks up. Simply keep breathing! Allow your body any movement that arises and remember to relax fully when you exhale, softening all your muscles. Continue breathing at your own pace, deeply and fully. Maintain your own pace and be willing to experiment. Your pace will normally change from day to day and during a session of Full Wave Breathing. Playing music as you breathe helps keep you focused in a gentle rhythm. The Cosmic Waltz, offered by Inspired Living, is the best I know of for this purpose.
