IBI's web site focuses on Full Wave Breathing because it is the single most important exercise for your health. Use it to get well, be well and do well.

Healthcare
Either you take care of your health or you don’t. If you don’t you become a participant in what is known as “Healthcare.” Healthcare is a system predicated upon the study of sick people and focusing on how to “fix” them. It addresses symptoms rather than causes and treats disease as an enemy to be eradicated.

Self-Responsible Self Care
If illness were a message concerning stressors in your mind and body, as opposed to thinking of illness as an opponent, how would you treat it? Likely you would listen to the messages from and cooperate with the body using principles based upon natural health. The first place you start is at the beginning--with the most basic foundation of life, your breath.

Your mind and body work pretty well until you start storing stressors in your breathing muscles. Then you become a shallow breather, creating chronic tension that wears down your immune system. Your blood becomes toxic. Lacking oxygen and energy, your body is unable to defend itself against environmental stressors. The result is disease.

Holistic Practices
The most basic holistic health practice is breathing. Breathing affects everything. Your entire system moves toward greater harmony if it is harmonious. Master your breathing and you master the ability to stimulate your healing resources.

Use your breathing to promote the unimpeded flow of consciousness through every cell in your body. Healing takes place on all levels. Your breathing determines your physical vitality, your emotional calmness, your mental focus and your spiritual awareness.

Congratulations, you have made it through most of another flu season and are still well! A bar of soap and boosting your immune system is still the best defense.

Looking back, there has been a flu pandemic forecast every 5 years for the last 30 years. So far, no flu. The scare has, however, been highly profitable to pharmaceutical companies with profits in the billions of dollars.

How do you know when you have the flu rather than a cold? Both are caused by viruses and there are over 200 cold-causing viruses. Flu, however, is more severe and prolonged. Flu can last from 14 to 40 days; colds from four to 10 days. Flu is accompanied by high fevers, bodily aching, headaches, sore throat and headaches.

Antibiotics are of no help for either colds or flu since they are both caused by viruses. Flu and its complications of pneumonia, asthma and bronchitis kill mostly the elderly, with US deaths totaling around 2000 annually.

Still Number One!
Its 2006 and the US Medical Care system is still number one. It is the number one killer of Americans. Ranked only 72nd world wide in quality, the US medical care methodology is directly responsible for almost a million deaths and unmeasured other damage and resulting disability.

The need for each person to accept personal responsibility for individual health is at an all time high. Begin by considering your weight.

Today's Challenges
This year’s national health threat continues to be overweight and obesity and the myriad of complications that come with them. The good news is that you can do something about it personally, today.

Plus, you can take it from me. It is easier to gradually shrink your stomach and appetite than to endlessly exercise in order to burn 100 extra calories. Start by counting your calories for 5 days and take an average. Reduce the amount over the next ten days by 10%. Ten days later, reduce the amount another 10%. Repeat this process three times over a month. Exercise moderately—even walking in place for 5 minutes at a time is good. Do this several times a day—and you’ll see the pounds melt away. Think of this suggestion as a “trial” for my easy-to-learn methods of restoring and preserving your health. Overcome Your Genetic Tendency
My mother died from a stroke. So, according to statistics, I am at twice the risk for having a stroke as the “normal” person. Moderate exercise + quiet time + a diet high in organic protein and minimal carbohydrates + supplements + pure water-grains =health. Does this sound severe? How about if it were your life?

Caveat
Don’t buy my upcoming book unless you are willing to be responsible for your health. Once you know how to identify the highly toxic ingredients in your foods, it is up to you. From that point on, you either choose life or you commit suicide.

Your cells are either open and relaxed, either regenerating or dying. Some of what is in your food chain is causing rapid aging, aches and pains, and lack of energy. Start eliminating the toxins and you’ll automatically feel better. Your lungs were designed to eliminate 70% of the toxins in your mindbody system.

Step 2, Exercise
When you can only perform a little exercise, make it Full Wave Breathing. It will support your larger exercises and, as you become proficient with directing your breath, can be performed with them. Keep Breathing!

It began almost fifty years ago when a neighbor invited me to an Amway meeting. When Caron and I moved to Arizona I thought I was “retired” from “selling stuff” to friends and clients for their weight loss and skin care. EXERCISE CORNER:
The answer to the mystery of why people resist breathing even when they know it is good for them is being made clearer to me. In a book written 70+ years ago, entitled, Rhythmic Breathing by Richard B. Noble, he relates that Greek and Roman soldiers were punished if they became too fat by “frugal diet, vigorous exercise and controlled breathing.” He says it prevented the accumulation of “superfluous flesh” in nobles and their children. Maybe we remember being punished by being made to breathe. Hmm.

This month as you practice your Full Wave Breathing, mentally repeat the word, “pleasure.” See what happens to your body. I’d appreciate if you’d write to me and let me know of your results so I can include your research in an upcoming exercise program suitable for every level of fitness.
