Read It Over and Over
Some of the information in the ezine is repeated so it becomes ingrained in your consciousness. Each month it does change slightly, becoming more refined and defined. Look for the changes, the subtle shifts in emphasis and expansion of ideas in each new issue. It does change and those who skip sections are missing information that could be important in creating and expanding their joyful existence.

The usual human tendency is to have to hear or read things many times before acceptance sinks in. This very normal process occurs when an idea is first introduced. Repeated exposure then brings us to acceptance, and finally adoption of an idea. Then changes occur automatically as if by some magical process. It is a magical process in that science cannot yet explain how, as your attitude shifts, the cells respond as if they were conscious. If they act as if they are conscious, what does that tell you about their nature?

Sickcare

If you don't take care of your own health you become a participant in what is known as Healthcare, Sickcare, a system based upon the study of sick people and focusing on how to "fix" them. It addresses symptoms rather than causes and treats disease as an enemy to be eradicated. Imagine instead that you observed healthy people and adopted their practices. What might then be the result and the state of your health?

It is not that you ignore pain. Do get out of pain first. Then inquire inside. Pose your question, then Full Wave Breathe for 15 minutes and note your insights and answers. It usually doesn’t even take that long before you get an answer and achieve understanding of the cause of your pain.

Self-Responsible Self Care
How would you treat illness if it were not your enemy, and was instead only a message concerning stressors in your mind and body? Your mind and body work pretty well until you become overloaded with stressors accumulating in your cells and tissues. The chronic stress then makes you become a shallow breather, wearing upon your immune system. Your blood becomes toxic, and lacking oxygen and energy, your body is unable to defend itself against either internal or environmental stressors. The result is discomfort, disease, disability and premature death. Fortunately, for the wise, there is an alternative!

The Soul

The vibratory effect upon others is harmonious, uplifting and, in-turn, transformative. One-by-one, each part of the whole—represented by the individual-- sounds his note until music abounds.

The ABC's of Higher Consciousness

Attitude--expectant or repellant; positive or negative; open or closed to Life; and embracing as differentiated from resisting; healing or declining; you can get better or you can get bitter. Make it a nice day!

Breath--Let your exhale demonstrate the complete surrender to God/Universe of all cares and concerns; becoming non-resistant to the tensions of the body, relax the cells, molecules and atoms. Use your breathing throughout your day, both to re-mind yourself of your spiritual nature, as well as to boost your health and energy. It works!

Choice--Either you listen to the voice for Love or the voice for Fear, that of ego. One knows that all are innocent; the other blames and sees the guilty. Teach your brain to tune into the Love channel; access your essence. Choose to awaken, to understand and to change. Your world will thank you.

Determination--Nothing happens without your dedicated effort. Even something as simple as breathing requires your participation. To achieve more in life, there must be more invested. Usually all that is required is the gift of time. Determine today that, just for today, you will be the determining factor in your life. Repeat this exercise tomorrow.

Energy--All is energy vibrating at different rates. Each lives, moves and has its being in this Energy. It is called Soul, Creator/Source, God, Universe, All That Is. IT is bigger than can be imagined.

Focus--What you focus upon grows. Focus upon the joy in your life, express gratitude daily and move forward to meet your dreams. Your deepest dream is of unity, enlightenment, experiencing oneness, realization, actualization, transcendent consciousness. And not of material things. This is why when you get them, achieve, and succeed, you still hunger for more. The most magnificent dream is to achieve full enlightenment. It is a process that continues after awakening.

Freedom—In your soul you are free. The challenge is to bring that freedom fully into your life through management of your energy. Your beliefs create your emotions and determine your health. How free would you like to be? What beliefs would be required? Adopt them.

Grace--There is a never-ending flow of grace awaiting your awareness so that: Life is more joyous, and the bumps on the path become less disruptive as you learn/remember/awaken into higher mind, beyond that of egoic consciousness. Use your Full Wave Breathing to take you there faster and easier than ever before.

Heaven or Hell—You get to choose which state you will engage. If, as the master teachers say, “Heaven is within,” why aren’t you going there more often to visit? What would happen if you devoted (consecrated) 100 breaths each day to you? Would that take you inside; at least open the door? Who among you dares not find out?

Integrity—Being whole and complete is the essential nature of each soul. It is the potential within each individual seeking expression. What if you were to dedicate your next 100 Full Wave Breaths to feeling your wholeness, your integrity? How would that improve your attitude and, leading to the next step, your action in the world?

Joy—The vibration of Joy takes you out of your person-ality and is the product of your connection with unity. Become a Joy finder in all that you do; make it your daily and life mission. Do so and it will call you forward into greater life. The path to Joy is the dedication of life--our life, all life--to the good of all. 

Kindness-- Considered as one of the seven virtues, opposites of the seven deadly sins Kindness is being helpful to one in need for the advantage of the person helped. It is treating the other as self, expressing your deeper connection and responding from the heart.  Kindness is caring in action. Be kind to your self.

Weekend Workshop Wrap Up 

The All Saint’s Day Celebration—All Hallows Eve Weekend Workshop began with an open house for Linda Osga’s Life Breath Institute Center in East Greenwich, Rhode Island. (www.thelifebreathinstitute.com) Fifty or sixty people shared good heart and sweet treats as a prelude to the events of the next two days.

Over twenty participants attended each of the two one-day events. The first gathering—Sanctuary—The Seven Doors, emphasized finding the sacred, safe and centered space within and aligning the heart’s loving intention with all that one does. The second day, titled, It’s All About You, took a personal look at the life process, embracing and blessing the events that brought each one to their unique and  specific point in their lives as spiritual beings engaged in a physical adventure.

The weekend ended with homework for all: Just breathe, and then do the next thing. Music, movement, song and breathdance, laughter and smiles were the order of the day.

Exercise for the Soul

There is one exercise from the weekend to share with you. The mechanics of Take Five are simple: 5 Full Wave Breaths throughout your day to center, re-center, and recalibrate energy. The exercise is included in the upcoming book, Breathe and Grow Rich available in January. In it you will find how to put power and effectiveness behind your dreams and desires, and enrich your lives in all good ways.

Here’s how it works. Let’s say you have a situation, condition or circumstance that comes to your awareness as restrictive, painful or limiting. As an example, maybe you are concerned about something that is happening with your work life. How would you breathe IF that situation were satisfactorily resolved (ended, disappeared, improved)? Take 5 Full Wave Breaths as you imagine the feeling you would have. That’s all there is to it. Breathe as if, and feel it in your body.

An advanced version of this exercise—for manifestation or healing—would be for you to practice the feeling of problem resolution for 10 minutes each day for 3 days. This simple, yet amazingly powerful process is yours to put into practice in your life. Use it and let me know of your results.

Commentary

The Germ Theory

Sitting in my chair for lunch, I turned the television on to watch Ripley’s Believe It Or Not. The story was of a man who, throughout his youth was sickly, having colds and flu that would last for up to six months. Later in his twenty’s he was diagnosed with cancer and after radiation and chemo, he was told he was terminal. Deciding to travel the world before his death, he wound up in am Inuit village in Alaska.

The native treatment for his condition is to consume rotten meat. Suppressing his gag reflex and overriding his sense of taste and smell, he consumed his first meal and treatment. Awakening the next morning, he found himself feeling better. Now, several years later, his cancer is gone and his diet is mostly raw and rotten meat that he prepares at home. He says that the smell is still awful and permeates his home. He is, however, alive and well. As the saying goes, “One man’s meat is another man’s poison,” or, in this case, cure.

Lifestyle Management

Imagine that you began your day with Spirit to express your gratitude for Life. Inhale and say, “Thank you.” Exhale and send gratitude from your heart. Repeat for 25 breaths. See what happens for you when you do.

Listen to The Cosmic Waltz and breathe as you awaken and stretch. Feed your mindbodysoul system what it needs and you, the human personality will feel and know the difference. Adopt this simple regimen for a week and see if it doesn’t naturally improve the quality of your life.

Easy Does It

What if you were able to, for this moment, forget about your past, your limiting beliefs and programs, the “wrongs” committed, the “rights” undone? Living in the present moment, unfettered by the past and unconcerned with the future, left with only your connection to the Omnipresent Presence, how would you be to get along with? How would your attitude of abiding love affect others? If your “thinker” was shut off and only your heart centered beingness responded to the events around you, how do you think it might work out?

Taking Time or Giving It Time?

I got a call the other day from someone who told me they were tired of people telling them what they could do to feel better. I thought, that’s fine…how do you feel?  OK, I guess, was the response. So, I asked, are you happy with the way you feel? Not always was the answer. Some days I feel good and some days I don’t.

So what is the problem, I next asked with people telling (advertising) how you can feel better? It makes me angry was the response.

Are you feeling guilty because you don’t feel better? Is there a part of you that knows you could feel better if you’d expend the time-energy-effort-money to do so? Or do you just like to complain about other people and deflect (redirect) from your self reflection?

Yes, it is true that our state of health is a moving target. Some days the bodily temperature is one thing; the next day, another. Maybe you have a bout of cleansing (cold or flu) and conclude that you are not well when, in fact, your body is simply adjusting to (and recalibrating) the planetary process to which it is attuned and about which you haven’t (yet) a clue. Maybe there is a range from feeling GReat to feeling just OK—no complaints, tho absent of any jubilation.

The whole thing about wellness is that it is an ongoing process requiring time and attention. And you pretty much get what you “pay for” or invest your time into. You can, for example, spend two hours daily in meditation or the same two hours watching television drama—including what passes for the news. You know which choice would provide the greater benefit to your health. Yet you choose to watch television. This is not a “bad” thing; only a choice with a consequence. Maybe you need someone to remind you of the things you could do (advertise) and how you could feel better—until it sinks in.

On the Path of Relationship

From my view there are only two commandments:
1. Love Me with all of your heart, mind and soul;

2. Love others as Self.

We are taught to see difference. Learning to see oneness, the problems in relationships begin to disappear. If all is God, what is not Self?

BREATHE!

The Spiritual Dichotomy

You are either part of the solution or you are part of the problem. Yes, you are innocent, and you either teach joy and love or yes, you are part of the problem facing the world. Decide to radiate an uplifting energy and become a contributor to the health and well being of planetary life.

 Use Full Wave Breathing to expand your vitality. Make your intention to fill all of the cells in your body with Joy. Continue until you can imagine all of the organs, glands and cells smiling, singing and dancing inside. Repeat the exercise throughout the day. It takes less than a minute to feel better.

The Political Truth

Let's put tax cuts in terms everyone can understand.

Suppose that every day, ten men go out for beer and the bill for all ten comes to $100.
If they paid their bill the way we pay our taxes, it would go something like this:

The first four men (the poorest) would pay nothing.  

The fifth would pay $1.  
The sixth would pay $3. 
The seventh would pay $7. 
The eighth would pay $12. 
The ninth would pay $18.  
The tenth man (the richest) would pay $59.  

So, that's what they decided to do.  

The ten men drank in the bar every day and seemed quite happy with the arrangement, until one day, the owner threw them a curve. "Since you are all such good customers," he said, "I'm going to reduce the cost of your daily beer by $20."Drinks for the ten now cost just $80.

The group still wanted to pay their bill the way we pay our taxes so the first four men were unaffected. They would still drink for free. But what about the other six men - the paying customers? How could they divide the $20 windfall so that everyone would get his 'fair share?'  They realized that $20 divided by six is $3.33. But if they subtracted that from everybody's share, then the fifth man and the sixth man would each end up being paid to drink his beer.

So, the bar owner suggested that it would be fair to reduce each man's bill by roughly the same amount, and he proceeded to work out the amounts each should pay.

And so:

The fifth man, like the first four, now paid nothing (100% savings).
The sixth now paid $2 instead of $3 (33%savings).
The seventh now pay $5 instead of $7 (28%savings).
The eighth now paid $9 instead of $12 (25% savings).
The ninth now paid d $14 instead of $18 (22% savings).
The tenth now paid $49 instead of $59 (16% savings).

Each of the six was better off than before. And the first four continued to drink for free. But once outside the restaurant, the men began to compare their savings.

"I only got a dollar out of the $20,"declared the sixth man. He pointed to the tenth man," but he got $10!"

"Yeah, that's right," exclaimed the fifth man. "I only saved a dollar, too. It's unfair that he got ten times more than I!"

"That's true!!" shouted the seventh man. "Why should he get $10 back when I got only two? The wealthy get all the breaks!"

"Wait a minute," yelled the first four men in unison. "We didn't get anything at all. The system exploits the poor!"

The nine men surrounded the tenth and beat him up.

The next night the tenth man didn't show up for drinks, so the nine sat down and had beers without him. But when it came time to pay the bill, they discovered something important. They didn't have enough money between all of them for even half of the bill!

And that, boys and girls, journalists and college professors, is how our tax system works. The people who pay the highest taxes get the most benefit from a tax reduction. Tax them too much, attack them for being wealthy, and they just may not show up anymore. In fact, they might start drinking overseas where the atmosphere is somewhat friendlier.

The Duh Factor

Isn't technology wonderful? Before cell phones, people just waited in baggage claim and met their travelers upon their departing the plane.  Now, the plane lands and--permission granted by the den mother stewardess--cell phones are whipped out and two hundred voices sound out as one, "I have landed." Next, the callees wait in baggage claim and meet their travelers upon their departing the plane. (?)

MONROE, Ohio - Police recovered a stolen truck that they just couldn't help but notice. Officers pulled the truck over Thursday because a back wheel was on fire, and then recognized the driver from previous encounters.

Police said they knew Richard Waters, 43, shouldn't have been driving the vehicle, and arrested him and charged him with receiving stolen property. The vehicle turned out to be a stolen city vehicle.

Officials said Waters apparently left the emergency brake on when he drove off, and heat from that caused the tire to catch fire.

The Pill Police—Science Fiction?

The statistics show us that even when people pay for prescription medication that many, if not most, are not good patients and do not adhere to a regular schedule of taking their medications. So, you might ask, how could National Health Care ever work if, even when they have them, people don’t take their drugs?

The solution is pretty simple actually. You recall the Anthrax scare don’t you? At that time a law was passed that mandated vaccination in the event of a national anthrax attack (scare, outbreak, isolated incident). Simply, you either get a vaccination or you can be incarcerated. It would be no big deal to extend this law to include federally dispensed or directed medication under the new National Heath Care Program.

Plus, all of those currently employed in the insurance industry would be able to find new jobs working as the Pill Police. They, leaving their insurance sales and administrative tasks, could monitor the taking of medications, the detailed accounting and reporting involved and the round-up, processing and incarceration of violators of the Pill Act. This way, instead of there being job displacement and loss of employment, an entire new bureaucracy would be born and the prison system (already a growth industry) would receive a significant boost in its business.

Construction of new facilities would strengthen the building trade industry making up for the dip in the new homes building business. The real estate market would be even busier taking care of foreclosures that resulted when, particularly, the elderly missed their pill taking (some of those medications can cause loss of memory you know) and, sitting in community jails, were unable to make mortgage payments with a resulting loss of their homes. 

The economy will receive a major boost as the same companies that now produce the pollution that creates part of the problem and who manufacture the food that exacerbates it, will grow as they also will make the pills that everyone will take. They will then make the remedies to taking the pills to alleviate the side-effects. This too will come to you courtesy of your tax dollars in action. Just remember, it’s for the children.

The cell phone entertainment business will also receive a boost from National Health Care as so many wait, so long in what will become 24/7 lines to register, be examined, receive advice and literature and be shown how to self-administer their medications. Cartoons and other entertainment will condition your mind and prepare your body while you wait. You’ll be able to easily educate yourself in the latest official version of what is good for you.  And yes, even federally mandated consumption of vitamins, minerals and supplements that will be discovered (at a time in the future yet unclear) and advertised to lower overall cost of preventing and treating illness.

Hospitals will also be beneficiaries of the new, compulsory system of sick care. Revitalized with your tax dollars, they will be able to operate around the clock and provide housing for those who used to have no where else to go. Plus the new system will provide the final impetus to the RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) campaign. BY having everyone implanted, the government will be able to help you keep track of your medications even when your memory fails. And in the future, the technology will be able to monitor biochemistry and send your body the radio frequency signature you need to keep your body functioning in its most efficient mode. (This can already be done.)

Human engineering at its finest, you will also be able to access (or rather have sent to you) just what you need to feel good about the war, the economy and the environment, relieving you of those troublesome worries that interfere with your being a happy and productive citizen. We may even be able to monitor your breathing and send you a little signal when you need to take a breath. It may sound shocking, and you’ll get used to it.

At first, you’ll be able to stand in front of your cell phone and be scanned for what you need on a daily basis. Later, the miniature wireless receiver that is glued to your back (where you can’t scratch at or pull it off) will be able to watch over your needs all day and night.

Some say this plan—National Health Care—and its natural ramifications and tendencies—like RIFD, wave signatures and controlling your brain waves is too much of Big Brother. Not to worry, you won’t even know it. And the best part? You’ll think it’s free.

P.S. If you think the above scenario is impossible, consider what is happening in Maryland where the law is threatening to put parents in jail if they don’t submit their children to be vaccinated with potentially toxic results.             Surrender:

  • To be willing to follow where soul leads you;
  • That your desire to grow is greater than your fear of moving forward;
  • That you are willing to listen more to your intuition and to your heart than to let your self be confused by the mind’s opinions, judgments, prejudices.

This is not to say that you disregard mind completely. For in order to stay in balance, common sense in the third dimension world is just as important to making things happen as is the flow of your intuitive perception. Step into the stream of cosmic (soul) consciousness, and be willing to direct the boat with ease through your life. To surrender means that you won’t turn the boat around, fight the current, and create more struggle, anxiety, and confusion for yourself.

       Detachment

  • To release personality preferences
  • That your joy is more important than being right
  • That you can still be engaged

Detachment is the opposite of not caring. It is because you do care—about your well being and peace of mind—that you keep an open mind, remembering that things DO work out for your soul’s best interest in the long run. Similar to surrender, detachment means that you are responsible and active—and you do not worry about the past or future.

"Excess weight does not uniformly increase the risk of mortality from any and every cause, but only from certain causes," said the study's lead author Katherine Flegal, of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. This particular study appeared in the 11/21/07 Journal of the American Medical Association, regarding the body-mass index of people who died from various diseases.

Obesity, the study concluded, did increase the risk of death from heart disease, diabetes and kidney disease, and several cancers previously linked with excess weight, including breast, colon and pancreatic cancer. However, merely being overweight - having a BMI between 25 and 30 – didn’t indicate an increase in the risk of dying from heart disease or any kind of cancer.

University of South Carolina obesity researcher Steven Blair says people can be fat and fit and commented that Americans have been whipped into a "near hysteria" by hype over the nation's obesity epidemic.

Blair added, “People should focus instead on healthful eating and exercise, and stop obsessing about carrying a few extra pounds or becoming supermodel thin.”

Thanksgiving begins the eating season—the American romantic affair with food. Is it a coincidence that the day before Thanksgiving was the time when the medical establishment announced that carrying an extra 20-25 pounds of weight was not statistically dangerous to your health? Watch out for that extra 5 pounds though!

How would you feel if you strapped on a back pack loaded with 25 pounds of dead weight? How much better would you feel if you took it off? The study in question downplays that people with overweight—not even obesity--are a higher risk for diabetes and heart disease. OK then, the 25 pounds might not kill you (immediately). It certainly would be an effort just carrying it around, wouldn’t it?

This season—as a New You Resolution—determine that you will feed your body instead of just eat. Imagine during this holiday season that you are a conscious being providing the nourishment that your system requires and resisting the body’s addictive behaviors and appetites. EXERCISE CORNER:

Full Wave Breathing is a natural, drug-free, and dramatically effective way to experience health, joy and aliveness that mobilizes and supports your progression toward balance and wholeness. It is a method which accelerates and complements modern healthcare and treatment practices. Use it to inspire yourself so you can inspire others!

The Single Most Important Exercise is Full Wave Breathing 

There are 3 Steps, simple as A B C: Abdomen, Belly, and Chest. First, breathe into the lower abdomen and keep your focus there until you can comfortably fill and relax that area of the body. Use your muscles to expand your lower abdomen, beginning at the top or your pubic bone.

Second, after filling the abdomen (A) shift your focus to your entire belly (B) or midsection, stretching and distending your diaphragm and ribs as you inhale. Relax everything as you exhale. Use your muscles to push out the lower abdomen, then expand the area just above.

Third, filling A & B, shift your focus to your chest (C) and above. Having expanded the lower portions of the body, stretch up into the chest and back. Make all of your physical movements gentle and slow. All the movement to become very subtle and gentle as you alternately inhale and exhale without pause.

You may find it more comfortable to begin with distinct movements of your body. Allow the process to become like a dance of movement from bottom to top, top to bottom. Later, allow your body to remain completely relaxed as you visualize the movement of energy through you.

Repeat often for the most dramatic results. For more detailed instruction, read below:

Step One of Full Wave Breathing

Place one hand on the abdomen below the navel and the other on the chest. As you inhale, hold the chest still; allowing the abdomen to expand as if you is filling a balloon. Stretch and extend the lower belly. Relax completely into an inhale at the point where the abdomen is distended fully and the lungs are filled. After exhaling, inhale immediately. The chest does not move at all.

Continue breathing with no pause between inhales and exhale. All of the emphasis is upon your inhale. The exhale is a release of the tension created during your inhale. So you will Inhale and relax...inhale...and relax. Continue as you read this instruction to see how simple it is to perform. Breathe through your nose or mouth as you desire. You increase oxygenation by over 50% when you breathe through your mouth because of the normal restriction in nostril breathing.

Close your eyes as you are breathing and then relax for a few minutes when you are done. Allow your breathing to normalize before continuing with your activities. You may perform this exercise while sitting at the computer, riding in the car, or even watching television. Start practicing this exercise today and you'll be pleased with your result!

To help you stay focused on your breathing, place a book or weighted bag on your lower abdomen when lying down and performing the exercise. If you are sitting, to keep your spine erect, imagine that a rope is attached to the middle of your head. The rope rises into the air. In your imagination, allow the rope to gently lift you up until your spine is erect. Sit straight, be open, and breathe.

Step Two of Full Wave Breathing

Continue breathing with no pause between inhales and exhale. Inhale and Relax...Inhale...and Relax.

Count 1 as you inhale and expand your lower abdomen in Step One. Count 2 as you lengthen your inhale and push out the middle of your torso at the solar plexus. Release tension and allow the body to exhale and repeat. Perform this exercise anytime to relax. Do not perform connected breathing when driving or operating machinery.

When lying down, place a pillow under your knees, not under your neck. When sitting, allow yourself to stretch and open your spine as you sit and breathe.

Close your eyes as you breathe and then relax for a few minutes when you are done. Allow your breathing to normalize and return to your tasks.

Step Three of Full Wave Breathing

Continue breathing with no pause between inhales and exhale. Inhale and relax...Inhale...and relax.

Count 1 as you inhale and push out your lower abdomen. Count 2 as you raise the breath and energetic focus to your solar plexus. Count 3 as you move your breath and muscular focus up into your chest, stretching your intercostal muscles, shoulders and back of the neck. Relax completely when you exhale, allowing the muscles to soften. There is no effort or tension involved in your exhale.

Close your eyes as you breathe and then relax for a few minutes when you are done. Allow your breathing to normalize before continuing with your activities. Perform this exercise anytime you are sitting passively to provide a quick and effective energy boost and relaxation.

Keep your spine straight if sitting and allow to your body to move as you breathe and relax. Feel the wave of inhale as air enters your body and the wave of exhale as it leaves. Increase the volume of air and pace of breathing and feel how it affects your experience.

Since resolving stress at the cellular level is below our awareness, there are times when the breathing is accompanied by laughing or crying as old chemistry breaks up. Simply keep breathing! Allow your body any movement that arises and remember to relax fully when you exhale, softening all your muscles. Continue breathing at your own pace, deeply and fully.

Maintain your own pace and be willing to experiment. Your pace will normally change from day to day and during a session of Full Wave Breathing. Playing music as you breathe helps keep you focused in a gentle rhythm. The Cosmic Waltz, offered by Inspired Living, is the best I know of for this purpose.
