Just Breathe!

The ezine of The International Breath Institute (IBI) is sent from Dr. Tom Goode. IBI shares ways to stay awake in the dream keeping:

Just Breathe! provides ideas, tips and suggestions for attaining optimal health and wellness through lifestyle management--learning to live in harmony and alignment with our holistic nature…and a sometimes humorous look at life on Planet Earth. Just Breathe! is both a magazine of higher consciousness and a home-study course.

Who It Is For

JB! readers are typically those who know of their make-up as body, mind and spirit. They are referred to as the awakening or awake as contrasted with being asleep to or oblivious of one’s spiritual nature. Just Breathe! is for people consciously embracing their spiritual path.

As a whole (holistic, holy) being each of us is comprised of physical, emotional, mental and spiritual aspects coordinated within one unitary expression. The four aspects of the mindbodysoul system are examined and described separately for clarification. 

From an energetic perspective, each of us is are already whole and complete, expressing our true nature at our individual level of evolution of consciousness. Modern science and ancient wisdom confirm our divinity, the existence of the soul and life that continues beyond physical death.

Render Greater Service

The implications of human nature as consciousness with a “soul” are profound. Scientific revelations validate both ancient and more modern spiritual knowledge. Taking action to be one’s “best” or higher, more enlightened self is generally conceded to be the greatest service or gift to others any one person can make.

If there were nothing to fix, and only to realize (make real) one’s true nature, a good first step would be to make real that feeling (of wholeness and completion) in the body by anchoring it with Full Wave Breathing. All that is required is to put Full Wave Breathing to work. Repeated over time, the seemingly miraculous occurs.     

Content

The Just Breathe! ezine expresses a view of the mindbodysoul aspects of holistic health. It is a monthly newsletter for the awakened and awakening--who know themselves to be multidimensional (energetic, divine sparks) beings with physical, emotional, mental and spiritual aspects. It is for those who practice their spiritual purpose by living lives of greater enlightenment and service through the pathways of Love, Joy and Peace.

The Soul

This ezine is for those whose interest is in their consciousness (increasing conscious awareness) as a spiritual being. Just Breathe! is a community (common unity) connection for awakening and awakened beings, integrating the wonders of Life. Just Breathe! shares a perspective, an alternative (holistic) view of human existence, intended to expand the mind's understanding. The mind then relaxes so the ego “watch dog” role that produces anxiety and tension can be set aside. Head and heart function together to respond to life’s circumstances, operating from "higher" consciousness or being in the flow of life.

The general idea is that the more whole one’s life, then the greater is the access to health and happiness. Researcher Dr. David Hawkins points out that to increase awareness even a little is significant because growth is logarithmic rather than linear. 

Healing

Having awakened to, become cognizant of, the process of awakening, the usual next step is to heal the physical level. Otherwise a great deal of energy that could otherwise be utilized at another level of being is expended on maintenance of the body.

Healing may or may not involve a “cure” for any condition. The healing step enables the individuated soul to more freely express creativity and joy. Each “healee” then becomes the source-connection of transformation for others. The lower body, housing the gut brain, is harmonized with the head/heart, operating as one. The vibratory effect upon others is harmonious, uplifting and, in-turn, transformative. One-by-one, each part of the whole—represented by the individual-- sounds his note until music abounds.

Context
Full Wave Breathing, among a host of alternatives, is the single, most important exercise for our life and whole health. Those who use it regularly feel better and more alive.

Think About It: Each of us is a cell in the body of humanity, totally unique--just like everyone else.

Letter from the Editor (writer, proof reader and researcher)

WHAT?

This issue, March 2008 marks the place where those who continue with me on a paid subscription basis will receive a new level of communication, specifically addressed to more effectively and efficiently managing the challenges of livelier, more joyful living. It includes health—physical, fiscal, relationships—wealth—a sufficiency for the soul’s purpose—and happiness—how daily to remain centered in the ever-present present.

Just Breathe! becomes more interactive as well. You are invited to participate in our blog to get questions answered, connect with others on paths of heart and reinforce your spiritual identity. Shifting to this newest format enables me to render even greater service and to deliver it most directly to those who are seeking it.

WHY?

Life is becoming even more accelerated. The lessons of the soul are presenting themselves more urgently. How would it be if your attitudes and emotions were all aligned for your greatest benefit? Would that be helpful—profitable—productive?

Are you a service provider? Would it be helpful to have more energy for all that you do? Would you like to easily turn off those behaviors that drain you and resolve subconscious struggle? And who am I to be giving advice?

AND?

That’s a complicated question and I’ll answer it from several levels. In the physical, you’d see me as a vital 68 year old male of English descent whose blood ancestors were farmers and merchants. At the last check-up I had the heart health of a 35 year-old, the cellular health of a 27 year-old and the lung health of a non-smoking 15 year old.

On the emotional and mental levels, having lived through some of the challenges of career, family and finances, I have survived many mistakes and developed what is called wisdom. Wisdom is what you learn from experience. Experience comes from making mistakes. Having made so many, doubtless I could help you avoid making some in your life pursuits.

On the spiritual level, I know the Unity in which we are all related and live from that place in my life: joyfully, harmoniously and creatively. I could have imagined being the author of more than ½ dozen books, numerous articles and writing a monthly newsletter. Yet it all started to happen when I set my goal of being of greater service to the whole of life. What are your spiritual goal and how may I assist your progress toward them?

WHAT FOR?

I call myself a teacher and a student, on a path of continuous unfoldment and joy. I specialize in helping you locate and trust, find and rely upon, your inner teacher or higher self. I assist you to go beyond the limited learnings of the personal mind to the knowings of the heart. This process takes place through your intention, our connection and your actions. All three are required.

YOUR GOALS?

Are you seeking to make the faster spiritual progress--as fast as possible? You already are. It if could be faster for you it would be. So relax. Only the ego is in a hurry, for only the ego is in time. You, us, we are not In time; although, through the mind that measures, we are able to experience it.

Are you looking to provide greater service to your fellow being? Relax, only the ego is concerned with the doing. Our work together is about your being. You may slow down, or speed up to reach any particular goal. Yet if your effort arises from your being instead of your doing, you won’t necessarily be aware of a slow or fast in the process.

REALLY!

What do you want? Does it serve you, really? How does it serve your fellow beings—family, friends and community? If there were a way for you to be more of who—at another level—you already are, would you be interested?

THIS WAY?

Focusing in the present using the breath is an easy way to be constantly re-minded of our nature as spiritual beings. Observe your cat or dog as breathing takes place. The inhale and exhale are connected—just like in your Full Wave Breathing exercise. Notice  how you breathe today. And exercise your breathing at least once daily for as little as a month and see if it doesn’t help:

    • The way you feel in general
    • The way you feel about things
    • The way things feel to you.

Longevity—A Costly Affair

Smokers and the obese die sooner so it costs less to treat them in the long run.

Today, healthy people live about 84 years; smokers, 77 years; the obese 80 years. The incidence of cancer deaths, except for lung cancer, is about the same and the healthy among us have less heart disease.

If you are healthy and the trends continue, you can expect your healthcare costs to run around $417,000, from age 20 on. If you are obese, that cost drops to about $370, 000; down to $322K if you are a smoker. Clearly, combining the last two conditions would be the most effective way to lower the overall cost of healthcare…unless, as outlined in the new book, Breathe and Grow Rich—Self-Care to Enrich Your Whole Life, you were to give up healthcare, often referred to as sickcare, and get on a program of selfcare. Admittedly it’s a revolutionary idea, and one you can adopt much more easily and with less difficulty that being a full-fledged participant in the healthcare system. 

Remember this article next time you watch on television, hear or read about the common perception that preventing obesity will somehow save  health systems worldwide millions of dollars. It won’t. Can you imagine the effect on the Social Security System if everybody were healthy? It would collapse if people remained or stayed retired. Even a small improvement in health could be costly in an overall sense.

Even when not joking, it is difficult not to come to the conclusion that the best way for some people to contribute to the economy is to continue to consume prodigious quantities of processed foods, neglect their physical health and to die young. Maybe we could think of it as the new patriotism. I happen to believe that by living both longer and more fully we are able to make greater contributions to society. What’s you opinion on this? Sickness is big business and traditional medical practices are like a giant ship that, even if there is the inclination to do so, takes a tremendous amount of time and energy to steer in a different direction. Wellness is not big business because its goal is to work itself out of a job. How profitable a goal is that?

Realization

What is personal realization? I use this term instead of the one more often thrown about, “enlightenment.” Personal realization is what happens when you realize you are part of the One—actually the One—looking out from the personal identity eyes. The task, after having such an awakening, epiphany or illumination, is to live from that glimpse of conscious awareness full time or to “make real” the awareness.

People who take our workshops often report such awakening or enlightening experiences. Then, as is inevitable since we are in bodies for a purpose, the euphoria passes and we are once again confronted with our daily lives. The stressors have not disappeared. Hopefully, however, the insights gained in such moments enable us to embrace life with more love and less reaction.

Yeah, don’t we wish! Too often, the weekend ends, and tomorrow is rush hour again, tugs on mommy’s skirt and the pressures of hunting down the next meal. How is a person supposed to deal? As you have learned there is no “supposed to.” Each one of us is already well-equipped to deal with our lives. The solution, as you continue to be reminded, is simple: Just Breathe! and then do the next thing.

So I am hoping you’ll continue to be a member of the IBI (say those three letters aloud 3 time and see how it feels) community. If you like, I won’t refer to you as a heavy breather. Besides I’d rather know you as a conscious soul.

My job? (Acronym for Joy Of Being) My job is to tune into what is needed in the readership group and write about effectively handling the challenges presented by living in a body in these increasingly challenging times.

What’s Ahead?

You’ll begin to notice that it becomes more difficult more people to stay centered and balanced. Your job is to maintain a heart-oriented focus as well. Doing so is a gift to yourself and those around you. Avoid many of the difficulties inherent in living in these exciting times by remembering to Just Breathe!...and then do the next thing.

Remembering is easier than ever with Full Wave Breathing and this ezine as reminders.  So consider the Just Breathe! Ezine as champion of your cause.. Just Breathe! is a simple statement with which to begin. Then the newsletter will provide suggestions as to what IS the next thing for you.

Training the Brain
Some of the information in the ezine is repeated so it becomes ingrained in your consciousness. Simply reading the material is of benefit. Each month the words change slightly, the concepts becoming more refined and defined. Look for the changes, the shifts in emphasis and expansion of ideas in each new issue. Those who skip sections are missing information that could be important in creating and expanding their joyful existence.

The usual human tendency is to have to hear or read things many times before acceptance sinks in. This very normal process occurs when an idea is first introduced. Repeated exposure then brings us to acceptance, and finally adoption of an idea. Then changes occur automatically as if by some magical process. It is a magical process in that science cannot yet explain how, as our attitude shifts, the cells respond as if they were conscious. If they act as if they are conscious, what does that tell us about their nature?

Sickcare—The System

If you don't take care of your own health you become a participant in what is known as Healthcare, Sickcare a system based upon the study of sick people and focusing on how to "fix" them. It addresses symptoms rather than causes and treats disease as an enemy to be eradicated. Imagine instead that you observed healthy people and adopted their practices. What might then be the result and the state of your health?

It is not that you ignore pain. Do get out of pain first. If you have a condition, take care of it. Get the help you need. And do ask inside. Pose your question about your condition is your mind: Mindbody, what do I need to do about _______? Then Full Wave Breathe for 15 minutes and note your insights and answers. How would you treat illness if it was not your enemy, and was instead only a message concerning stressors in your mind and body? Most likely you would cooperate with the body using principles based upon natural health. The first place to begin is with the basic foundation of life, your breathing.

At The Heart of the Matter

Let’s imagine that you are a person who has either a history of heart disease in your family or are just generally concerned since it is the biggest killer of women and man alike.

Let’s further imagine that you began to study alternative medicine’s approach to heart disease and heart health and discovered that:

  • Cholesterol isn’t involved

  • Older people with the highest cholesterol lived the longest

  • People with “normal” levels of cholesterol had as many heart attacks as those with “high” levels.

What would you do? Maybe you’d look further and also discover that

Eavesdropping on a Conversation (continued from last month)

Master Teacher: Give them toys, books for the mind, things that can get through to that place in every person where you have communication that is energetic and far more satisfying that the words alone.

He took a deep breath and was back in his bed. He had traveled in his light body and in his vision had sat on the dirt floor around a small warming fire in a cave in a mountain in the Himalayas where the teacher sat in his radiant form. Was the place real, he wondered, or just a mind projection?

He knew that the Master Teacher was a representation of his own higher self, and if he was an actual person he had transcended the need for food and drink. He’d be living from Life Force alone and kept his consciousness focused so that energy of the Presence could be transmitted to the planet for those able to access and accommodate it. A previous talk with the Master has explained to him that the planet was polarized, ranging from those most ill to the healthiest, that there were those who sought help and assistance and those who resisted it.

There were forces of love, promulgating and spreading expansion and embracement of Life as expressions of the Law of One. There were also those who spread the energy of fear, commonly referred to as a distortion of the same love energy, who, also were valid expressions of the Law of One, and sought to keep humanity in a contracted state.  Which one to choose was up to the individual.

So he breathed in fully, repeating the Full Wave Pattern until he felt himself lifting off once more, sensing movement and sitting again on the dirt floor gazing at the radiant form of the Master Teacher.

Student: Master Teacher it is said that a great awakening is occurring. Yet the political will appears to have been taken over by vested interests—those seeking wealth beyond counting and greater power and influence. What can one person do to improve the lot of human kind?

Master Teacher: It is the task of each who awakens to cultivate his consciousness, empower her life and spread love. How one does this is held within the secret place of the soul.

You teach how to find this place and to empower each individual’s personal mission using joy as the target. For truly, joy cannot be pursued without an individual’s focus on what they spiritually seek in life. If they follow their joy, are true to that path, they will find their contribution to the whole taking place.

A musician’s contribution is her playing, singing or composing. A mother’s is in her nurturing, participation in the affairs of the community and her heart sharing with her friends. Each has a different task according to her gifts or talents, situation or circumstance.

Most require guidance or coordination—a teacher, director, symphony conductor. These individuals are placed there like angels to assist the awakened souls to take flight. Their real earth life has begun. Most welcome the ending of what may have been a nightmare.

Don’t think that where a person is in life is an accident or the result of happenstance. The divine hand guides. And it guides even those who are reluctant. Of course those who are most open and willing will make greater progress, experience greater happiness and satisfaction, and achieve a result that is more in keeping with their natural joy.

The ABC's of Higher Consciousness

Attitude--expectant or repellant; positive or negative; open or closed to Life; and embracing as differentiated from resisting; healing or declining; We can get better or get bitter. Make it a nice day!

Breath--Let our exhale demonstrate the complete surrender to God/Universe of all cares and concerns; becoming non-resistant to the tensions of the body, relaxing the cells, molecules and atoms. Consciously directing our breathing throughout your day re-minds us of our spiritual nature, and is a boost to health and energy.

Choice—We either listen to the voice for Love or the voice for Fear, that of ego. One knows that all are innocent; the other blames and sees the guilty. The choice is ours:

  • Tune into the Love channel

  • Access essence

  • Understand

  • Awaken

Determination--Nothing happens without our dedicated effort. Even something as simple as breathing requires our participation. To achieve more in life, there must be more invested. Usually all that is required is the gift of time. Let’s give it to ourselves.

Energy--All is energy vibrating at different rates. Each lives, moves and has its being in this Energy. It is called Soul, Creator/Source, God, Universe, All That Is. IT is bigger than can be imagined.

Focus--What we focus upon grows. Focus upon

  • The joy in life

  • Daily expression of gratitude

  • Moving forward to meet our dreams.

Our deepest dream is of unity, enlightenment, experiencing oneness, realization, actualization, transcendent consciousness--and not of material things. This is why when we get them, achieve, and succeed, we hunger for more. The most helpful dream is to achieve enlightenment. It continues after awakening.

Freedom—In our soul we are free. The challenge is to bring that freedom fully into our life through management of our energy. Our beliefs create our emotions and inform our health. What is required is individual to each of us; yet the path is similar as we ask, what beliefs would be required to produce a life of freedom, grace and ease —and adopt them.

Grace--There is a never-ending flow of grace awaiting our awareness so that: Life is more joyous, and the bumps on the path become less disruptive as we learn/remember/awaken into higher mind, beyond that of egoic consciousness. Full Wave Breathing can make the journey easier than ever before. Think of grace as effortless growth through your connection with joy.

Heaven or Hell—We get to choose which state to engage. If, as the master teachers say, “Heaven is within,” why don’t we going there more often to visit? What would happen if we devoted (consecrated) 100 breaths each day to do so? Who among us dares not find out?

Integrity—Being whole and complete is the essential nature of each individual--the potential seeking expression. What would happen if we each dedicated the next 100 Full Wave Breaths to feeling our wholeness, our integrity?

Joy—The vibration of Joy takes us out of person-ality and is the product of our connection with unity. Becoming a Joy finder in all that you we do,   making it part of our daily and life mission, calls us forward into greater life. The path to Joy is the dedication of life--our life, all life--to the good of all. 

Kindness--Considered as one of the seven virtues, opposites of the seven deadly sins, Kindness is being helpful to one in need for the advantage of the person helped. It is treating the other as self, expressing our deeper connection and responding from the heart.  Kindness is caring in action.

Love—The substrate of being, the underlying nature of the unified field, the interconnectedness of all life and the unquestioning regard for all living expression.

Multiplicity—The nature of the One is manifest in multiplicity. Imagine each choice giving rise to an alternate universe—All That Is encompassing every possibility. The mind cannot hold it all or decide amongst the choices. The inner battle is won when the mind defers to the heart’s wisdom.

Natural—It is natural for the body to heal itself when the impediments and blocks to healing are removed. You are already whole and complete as a being. You are naturally your best self. Nothing more is required than to be natural. To become natural usually requires removing the unnatural—the ego thoughts and programs of lack and limitation.

Exercise for the Soul 

As you inhale, imagine energy entering your head from the top, front, left, right and below and converging in the middle in your Pineal gland. See the pineal glad light up on the inhale and pulse on your exhale. Once called the seat of Genius, the pineal gland is the skylight linking us with Cosmic Mind and the opening to inspiration. Take ten breaths in and out through your nostrils, envisioning the middle of your brain glowing and pulsing. Work up to 25 repetitions and, adding it to your breathing repertoire,  repeat daily for a week with your intention being to activate natural genius.

The Adversary©

Wisdom teachings say that we create the conflict and struggle for ourselves in the adversarial role.  In the adversarial role, we face the aspect of ourselves that we fear the most.  In our relationships with others and the environment, we create dynamic situations in which to experience and work through our greatest fears.

In the evolutionary process, man first needed to master the ability to co-exist within the environment as well as with all the creatures.  Humans then needed to face and integrate the challenges associated with living in cooperation with each other.  Through the generations, humans became more attached to each other—partners, tribes and community ties.

However, coinciding with this evolutionary shift, the“flight or fight” instinct was programmed in the genetic patterns of humans.  Thus the programming for rivalry was learned socially as well as encoded genetically.

Man first incarnated to learn physical survival skills and then learned response systems to others, bringing emotional awareness.  Men began to define boundaries for themselves to establish divisions within the sanctity of personal space. As souls became established in matter, the identification of space and land became the primary validation of self. 

The objective world replaced man’s identification with the inner planes of Spirit.  Men then lived in conflict with self and the outside world, reflections of his inner turmoil and loss of connection to Spirit.

We create the role of adversary by losing touch with inner serenity. If the basic survival needs are not met, conflict develops. In history, man perceived that the way to deal with such conflicts was through coercion.

View this journey of the evolution of the human race as the inner journey of your soul in today’s world.  Our psyche contains all the memories and elements of our incarnate experiences.  Within self is the universe—a reflection of all that we have learned as human beings on the earth.  Does “history repeat itself?”  Only if we choose to respond to our world through fear does the adversarial role continue.

  • To be willing to follow where soul leads;

This is not to say that we disregard mind completely. For in order to achieve stability, common sense in the third dimension world is just as important to making things happen as is the flow of our intuitive perception. To surrender means that we cease to fight the current, ending struggle, anxiety, and confusion.

       Detachment

  • To release personality preferences
  • That our joy is more important than being right
  • That we can still be engaged

Detachment is the opposite of not caring. It is because we do care—about our well being and peace of mind—that we keep an open mind, remembering that things DO work out for our best interest in the long run. Similar to surrender, detachment means we are responsible and active—and do not worry about the past or future.

                    Accommodation 

  • To allow others their reality
  • To adapt to change
  • To engage with understanding

Accommodation is also used to imply the implementation of a new purpose or strategy—such a living for a soul rather than an ego perspective.

                    Acknowledgement

  • To admit the truth
  • To surrender to one’s spiritual nature
  • To live life based upon one spirit

                    Acceptance

  • To believe that all comes from God for our benefit
  • Living in a safe world
  • Allowing others to be whomever they need to be

A Fable of Planetary Transformation Crafted by the Transformation Team

Once upon a time in a far away corner of the universe in the outer reaches of a medium-sized spiral galaxy, there was a beautiful blue-green planet whose inquisitive inhabitants named their world Earth. Many different peoples inhabited this planet teeming with abundant life forms. They had come to learn the many difficult, yet rewarding lessons of exploring in physical bodies what it is like to feel separate and disconnected from their own divine essence and from all around them.

The collective consciousness of all people on Earth greatly affected everything that happened on this revolving planet. Yet because of their explorations into separateness, the vast majority of these people – or humans as they called themselves – were unaware of how their collective will formed their world. In order to learn the deep wisdom of this Earth school or Univers-city, these humans had chosen to forget how in their deepest essence they were all interconnected and how every individual played an essential role in what happened on their planet and to their people as a whole.

Over the ages and through thousands upon thousands of revolutions of this jewel of a planet around its shining golden sun, the people of Earth explored, developed, and expanded their awareness through many rich, beautiful, and sometimes even painful experiences. Through the rich drama and challenging lessons of many ages and lifetimes, they several times grew close to the point of feeling again their deep interconnectedness with all beings. Yet each time they came close, that awareness then contracted and was eventually shut down by their collective fear of losing individuality and uniqueness.

After several cycles of this expansion and contraction, at one point in a new expansion phase, the collective mind grew so intelligent as to permit humankind for the first time to soar beyond the gravitational confines of Earth in shiny, metallic spaceships. The collective knowledge of the physical world in which they lived grew so deep that certain individuals began to see visions of a major transformation leading to physical paradise on Earth. At the same time, many others greatly feared that these new mental abilities and sophisticated technologies would be used by the militaries and greedy elite to destroy the very life and world in which they lived.

As their collective hopes and fears grew like never before, many humans dedicated to planetary transformation joined together in a deep prayer about their lives and world. So for the first time in the planet's history, a powerful collective call was sent out to the universe requesting help and guidance for the struggling planet and its people to move beyond separation, selfishness, and greed towards loving, empowering transformation and integration. For the first time, humanity as a whole opened to connection and help from the great universe beyond the physical confines of their world.

Their prayer was heard.

In the vast and varied collection of civilizations and species spread throughout the infinite universe, the call for help from this small, beautiful planet was heard. Unbeknownst to the people of Earth, there existed in the universe a special team made up of millions of caring souls from various planets, galaxies, and even dimensions. This loving team had dedicated themselves specifically to serve and support the inhabitants of developing planets who requested help in times of crisis and transition.

The vibrant souls of this intergalactic transformation team were committed to work together with the local transformation team of any planet that called for help in creating more nurturing, life-enhancing ways of living and growing. This loving team was activated by the collective call from Earth.

Feeling the call for help almost like a fireman on Earth responding to an alarm, the excited souls of the transformation team came together to focus their attention on this beautiful world in crisis. They opened their hearts and souls to the people there. They learned of the ways of humankind and became familiar with the challenges the people of Earth found themselves facing. While some agreed to observe and provide guidance from a distance, millions of these souls agreed to be born in human bodies and – like other humans – to forget where they came from, so that they might fully experience being human and more effectively provide help and guidance to humankind.

Being born into human bodies and human families without memory of their origin, almost all of these transformation team members felt the many pains and joys of growing up while often feeling separate and isolated from those around them. Some even chose to go through serious traumas with their human families in order to develop deeper compassion. Others simply felt alone and bewildered, unable to comprehend why those around them couldn't see that love interconnects us all. At times, all of them felt they didn't belong and sensed an inner calling to some greater purpose.

As these dedicated transformation team members grew spiritually and the crisis facing the planet intensified, magical things began to happen. Key writings, dreams, mystical experiences, and even inspiring fables began to awaken members of the transformation team to their deeper purpose.

For some the awakening was gradual, while for others a powerful, unexpected single event lifted the veil. Collectively, members of the transformation team began to remember why they came to Earth. They found themselves spontaneously connecting with other wise humans who were part of the transformation team and who further helped to awaken and inspire them. Their fears and feeling of separation gradually faded as they became increasingly excited to remember their deeper purpose, and to find themselves now playing an integral role in this empowering planetary transition.

Eventually, all members of the transformation team awoke. Upon awakening, a new, bright sparkle danced from their eyes. It was a sparkle of knowingness. Knowing that all of us are already interconnected in a divine cosmic dance. Knowing that the joy of love is always there inside when any soul truly opens to it. Knowing that the team's purpose is not to save anyone, but rather to simply be a loving invitation and inspiration to all around them. Knowing that uniqueness and individuality are welcome even in the interconnectedness of all beings. Knowing that when the people of a planet send out a collective call for help, the transformation team always answers. Knowing that the team never fails to give powerful, inspiring guidance to help make it through even the most daunting crisis.

Once upon a time, the transformation team came to Earth to remind humankind – and even to remind themselves – that we are not alone, that we are all equally important actors intimately interconnected in the divine unfolding of the universe. The team came to remind us that fear is but an invitation to growth, and that in the end, there is no end. There is only this sacred moment in which to open to all the richness that we are ready to receive. There is only the eternal here and now.

And so to bring this transformation fable to a close (or is it an opening?), the transformation team found and continues to find ever more joyful, meaningful ways to love, explore, play, and grow together with all people of Earth, as they live happily ever after in the ever present here and now.

All Is Energy

Since all is energy and each individual is connected to the whole, then each person has the power to direct their energy. We can alter our biochemistry to a life supporting instead of debilitating state whenever ego mind begins to demand attention.

We can shift our biochemical state to a supportive one whenever you become aware of feeling constricted, closed or negative simply by breathing 5 Full Wave Breaths. Throughout our day, Let’s Take 5 and see if it doesn’t help.

EXERCISE CORNER:

Full Wave Breathing is a natural, drug-free, and dramatically effective way to experience health, joy and aliveness that mobilizes and supports your progression toward balance and wholeness. It is a method which accelerates and complements modern healthcare and treatment practices. Use it to inspire yourself so you can inspire others!

The Single Most Important Exercise is Full Wave Breathing

There are 3 Steps, simple as A B C: Abdomen, Belly, and Chest. First, breathe into the lower abdomen and keep your focus there until you can comfortably fill and relax that area of the body. Use your muscles to expand your lower abdomen, beginning at the top or your pubic bone.

Second, after filling the abdomen (A) shift your focus to your entire belly (B) or midsection, stretching and distending your diaphragm and ribs as you inhale. Relax everything as you exhale. Use your muscles to push out the lower abdomen, then expand the area just above.

Third, filling A & B, shift your focus to your chest (C) and above. Having expanded the lower portions of the body, stretch up into the chest and back. Make all of your physical movements gentle and slow. All the movement to become very subtle and gentle as you alternately inhale and exhale without pause.

You may find it more comfortable to begin with distinct movements of your body. Allow the process to become like a dance of movement from bottom to top, top to bottom. Later, allow your body to remain completely relaxed as you visualize the movement of energy through you.

Repeat often for the most dramatic results. For more detailed instruction, read below:

Step One of Full Wave Breathing

Place one hand on the abdomen below the navel and the other on the chest. As you inhale, hold the chest still; allowing the abdomen to expand as if you is filling a balloon. Stretch and extend the lower belly. Relax completely into an inhale at the point where the abdomen is distended fully and the lungs are filled. After exhaling, inhale immediately. The chest does not move at all.

Continue breathing with no pause between inhales and exhale. All of the emphasis is upon your inhale. The exhale is a release of the tension created during your inhale. So you will Inhale and relax...inhale...and relax. Continue as you read this instruction to see how simple it is to perform. Breathe through your nose or mouth as you desire. You increase oxygenation by over 50% when you breathe through your mouth because of the normal restriction in nostril breathing.

Close your eyes as you are breathing and then relax for a few minutes when you are done. Allow your breathing to normalize before continuing with your activities. You may perform this exercise while sitting at the computer, riding in the car, or even watching television. Start practicing this exercise today and you'll be pleased with your result!

To help you stay focused on your breathing, place a book or weighted bag on your lower abdomen when lying down and performing the exercise. If you are sitting, to keep your spine erect, imagine that a rope is attached to the middle of your head. The rope rises into the air. In your imagination, allow the rope to gently lift you up until your spine is erect. Sit straight, be open, and breathe.

Step Two of Full Wave Breathing

Continue breathing with no pause between inhales and exhale. Inhale and Relax...Inhale...and Relax.

Count 1 as you inhale and expand your lower abdomen in Step One. Count 2 as you lengthen your inhale and push out the middle of your torso at the solar plexus. Release tension and allow the body to exhale and repeat. Perform this exercise anytime to relax. Do not perform connected breathing when driving or operating machinery.

When lying down, place a pillow under your knees, not under your neck. When sitting, allow yourself to stretch and open your spine as you sit and breathe.

Close your eyes as you breathe and then relax for a few minutes when you are done. Allow your breathing to normalize and return to your tasks.

Step Three of Full Wave Breathing

Continue breathing with no pause between inhales and exhales. Inhale and relax...Inhale...and relax.

Count 1 as you inhale and push out your lower abdomen. Count 2 as you raise the breath and energetic focus to your solar plexus. Count 3 as you move your breath and muscular focus up into your chest, stretching your intercostal muscles, shoulders and back of the neck. Relax completely when you exhale, allowing the muscles to soften. There is no effort or tension involved in your exhale.

Close your eyes as you breathe and then relax for a few minutes when you are done. Allow your breathing to normalize before continuing with your activities. Perform this exercise anytime you are sitting passively to provide a quick and effective energy boost and relaxation.

Keep your spine straight if sitting and allow to your body to move as you breathe and relax. Feel the wave of inhale as air enters your body and the wave of exhale as it leaves. Increase the volume of air and pace of breathing and feel how it affects your experience.

Since resolving stress at the cellular level is below our awareness, there are times when the breathing is accompanied by laughing or crying as old chemistry breaks up. Simply keep breathing! Allow your body any movement that arises and remember to relax fully when you exhale, softening all your muscles. Continue breathing at your own pace, deeply and fully.

Maintain your own pace and be willing to experiment. Your pace will normally change from day to day and during a session of Full Wave Breathing. Playing music as you breathe helps keep you focused in a gentle rhythm. The Cosmic Waltz, offered by Inspired Living, is the best I know of for this purpose. It focuses on the heart center and expands relaxation throughout the body.

Imagine that you are lying on a beach with the warm sun high overhead and slightly behind you. The tide is coming in and as you inhale, imagine the water following the path of your breathing from your feet to above your head. Each incoming wave brings with it new energy.

As you exhale, allow the water to return to the ocean carrying with it unneeded tension. Allow all of the muscles in your body to become soft as the imagined water leave your body along with the synchronous exhale of your breath. Each exhale returns your energy to the sea of life dissolving what no longer serves you.
